Our Top 7 Okavango Delta Lodges

Incredible wildlife. Massive concessions with no one else there. Some of the most beautiful landscapes one could wish to see with palm dotted horizons and crystal clear water. A wide variety of birds, plants, wildlife and activities. The Okavango Delta, in Botswana, is our literal heaven on earth.

Read HERE for more on how the Delta formed and how the seasonal flow of water, into the largest intact inland delta in the world, works.

The Okavango Delta is one of the pricier safari destinations in Africa but for good reason. The Botswana government made the brave decision at independence to limit the number of beds and vehicles on concessions, which results in significantly lower impact on the environment. The result of this decision is also a safari paradise that you get to enjoy all to yourself.

It is totally worth the premium rate, however if you are wanting to be more budget conscious, you can consider traveling in the Green Season (November to April) where bed night rates are reduced. Read more about a Botswana Green Season safari experience HERE.
